What's New
New Building! We are very pleased to announce that the Special Children Center will be moving to a brand-new, larger, more hospitable and conveniently located facility this summer. All of us are thrilled with the prospect of serving our clients in a facility that is now being built - just for us, and just for you - at I-94, Exit 4 in Hudson. We will initially be leasing our new home from Richmar Industries, our landlord and key partner in this exciting new development, with an option to purchase the building in the future.
We are taking this major step forward in the belief that our clients deserve a premier facility in which to experience the life-changing therapeutic services that Special Children Center offers. Our dedicated staff is enthusiastic about our new facility and is committed to continuing to provide the unique therapy services that define Special Children Center, and which have made us a partner in the lives of the hundreds of families that have been our clients, friends and supporters.
Our new facility will have a much larger and better therapy pool; expanded therapy venues; quality instructional and learning sites, and a safe, satisfying and welcoming environment.
We will keep you posted on our progress, and welcome your thoughts and comments. Between today and our occupancy of the new Center - probably in July 2010 - we may experience some temporary disruptions. Everything possible will be done to minimize any impact on our primary mission of enhancing the lives and life potential of our therapy clients.
On another positive note, my last letter to you asked for your contributions to aid in the funding of services for those children whose families were not insured or could not afford our therapy services. Your response was wonderful! We achieved our goal of $5000, led by a generous contribution from Richmar Industries, and we will soon be providing no-cost therapeutic services to a number of deserving children, supplemented by our own matching fee elimination. Your contributions further support our efforts and underscore your belief in our value to the hundreds of families that have benefited from Special Children Center.
Sincere best wishes,
